Changes in Ways to Give

There are big changes afoot in the ways our lovely supporters can make donations or fundraise for Transform Salone.

As we recently posted on our facebook page (come and give us a like there if you haven’t already at https://www.facebook.com/TransformSalone )  Justgiving’s TextGiving service has been retired, but there is an even bigger change on the horizon…….

BT Mydonate will be retired on 30th June 2019. BT MyDonate has been our preferred donation site for many years for fundraising pages, regular donations, appeals and one-off donations. We have contacted our supporters who give a regular monthly donation via BT MyDonate individually to go over the options for continuing their donations. Here’s a link to more information about why they are closing the site: BT MyDonate is Closing

There are a few options for our supporters to make donations or create a fundraising page in support of Transform Salone once we are no longer able to receive donations via BT Mydonate:

Wonderful.org ( https://wonderful.org/charity/transformsalone ) - for one-off donations or to create a fundraising event. NO CHARGES. The collect gift aid declarations but do not claim gift aid on behalf of the charity – the declarations are passed onto the charity for us to make the gift aid claims.

Virgin Money Giving ( Transform Salone’s Virgin Money Giving Page ) – for one-off donations, regular donations or to create a fundraising event. They take a 2% fee and a processing fee for donations made by credit card of 1.45%. They claim gift aid on behalf of the charity and forward it to the charity.

Stewardship’s give.net ( https://www.give.net/TransformSalone ) - for one-off donations, regular donations or to create a fundraising event. They retain 3% of the total including gift aid to cover their administration costs. They collect gift aid on behalf of the charity and forward it to the charity.

Direct to our bank – Account: Transform Salone, Account No. 43452867, Sort Code 20-57-44.

Our preferred methods for receiving funds are direct to our bank or through wonderful.org as there are no charges for either of these options. However we are aware that some people may prefer to use a more well known donations site so for that reason we have included the details for Virgin Money Giving and Stewardships give.net here.

If you’d like to give to our current rice appeal the link to the appeal is here: Rainy Season Rice Appeal. The appeal is on Virgin Money Giving, while they do charge a small fee they collect gift aid on our behalf so we felt this was the best way to be able to provide as much rice to as many people as possible as quickly as possible.

We appreciate all of our supporters so much – we couldn’t provide the help and support to so many in Sierra Leone without you!!
